Éva Katinka Bognár
Her short film Hugo Bumfeldt won awards including the Prize of the Children’s Jury at the 62nd Oberhausen International Short Film Festival, and the Animated Short Jury Award at Austin Film Festival.
She has been illustrating children’s literature since 2016. Two of her books, Ludmilla megoldja and A Boszorkánycica were included on the Institute of Hungarian Children’s Literature’s TOP50 list, the latter also winning the Merítés prize for children’s book of the decade.
She worked as an art director on Gelley Bálint’s Door to Othertown animated series, and continues developing animation and illustration projects mainly for children.
She is a freelance consultant of CEE Animation Workshop, and her research at MOME’s doctoral school focuses on Wimmelbilderbuchs.
