100 years of Hungarian animation

Hungarian animation celebrating its 100th year anniversary this year is the guest of honour country at the 15th Hiroshima Animation Film Festival organised between 21-25 August 2014 with 3 films in the competition and 252 (short and feature films, TV and video spots, as well as TV programs) films in the general festival program. The films shown at the festival are also screened between 25-31 August 2014 in Uránia cinema in Budapest, as well as some pieces are broadcasted on the M2 television channel.

All the three Hungarian films in competition in Hiroshima were made at MOME Anim: Réka Bucsi’s Symphony No.42 (2013) is screened on 21st August, Paper World (2013) created by László Ruska and Dávid Ringeisen, as well as Bálint Gelley’s Hearth (2012) are screens on 23rd August at the Hiroshima Animation film Festival, and also at the Uránia Animation Film Week.
