Luc Degryse

She studied animation film making at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (Ghent), as a student of Raoul Servais. Upon graduation he won a scholarship to work at the Kecskemét-based Pannónia Film Studio in Hungary for three years starting from 1982. Here he made his film titled Souvenir and two animated shorts for children: Oscar I. and Oscar II.

In 1987 he won the Award of the Hungarian Film and Television Critics for Souvenir, that was later selected as the Best Artistic contribution at Festival Birmingham.

Since 1988 he has been teaching at the Animation Department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (Ghent); his graduate students are very successful at different international festivals.

A collection of his graphic design works was published in 2006 in Belgium under the title Tekeningen (Drawings).
