Rita Domonyi

After graduating as a teacher, she studied theater theory at the University of Theatre and Film in Budapest. In 2013 she received her MA in Design and Art Management at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest.

She started her carrier in animation at Varga Studio in 1999, where she worked as a dramaturge and later became the creative development manager of the company.

Besides working on various series developed and co-produced by the studio as a script editor, she also managed the development of film projects from initial concept to final script, both in terms of content and visual appearance, and co-ordinated the work of foreign and Hungarian scriptwriters, script editors, designers and directors.

From 2005 she has been working as a freelancer dramaturgist on animation shorts and series and also on live action projects.

From 2006 she has been a teacher at the Animation Department of Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest where she gives dramaturgy lectures.

She received her MA in art- and design managment in 2013 at MOME.

Her first book was published at the Atheneum Publishing House, her second book in 2013 at Csimota Childrenbook Publishing House.
