Hungary is the guest of honour country at the Hiroshima International Animation Festival
The 15th Hiroshima International Animation Festival welcomes Hungary as the guest of honour country. Organised between 21st and 25th of August, 59 films from 20 countries are in competition at the festival, among them three Hungarian pieces, each of them made at MOME Anim: Symphony no. 42 by Réka Bucsi, Hearth by Bálint Gelley, and Paperworld by László Ruska and Dávid Ringeisen.
The ID spot of the festival was created by Milán Kopasz, MA student at MOME Anim. The spot is based on the puppetoons technique developed by the Hungarian George Pal in the 1930’s.
