EURANIM – MOME Anim’s new international educational project

A new international educational project was launched with the support of Creative Europe with the participation of the animation and the media design department of Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest (MOME – Hungary), Rencontres Audiovisuelles, Lille (France), The Animation Workshop (Denmark), HOWEST (Belgium), Plymouth College of Art (UK), and Turku University of Applied Science (Finland).

The partner institutes developed a three-year educational program exploring a novel, innovative use of animation, while presenting progressive technical possibilities. The project launches a series of video mapping trainings in the form of one-week modules taking place at four different universities and an international festival. Each module ends with a cultural event presenting the results of the given module to the profession, as well as to a wider audience.
The project aims at helping fresh graduates of animation and audiovisual schools to launch their career by offering the possibility to use their tolls and knowledge in a progressive, innovative way.

EURANIM runs for three academic years, from 1st June 2015 till 1st September 2018 and consists of a series of workshops and events, that MOME and KISKAKAS Animation Film Days will first host in the April of 2016, welcoming students and experts from the five participating countries. The Budapest workshop will also end with a spectacular open event in downtown Budapest.

The first workshop took place between 7th and 15th September 2015 where MOME was represented by Dániel Cseh (media design student) and Zénó Mira (animation student).
