Symphony no. 42 is the best animation film at the Melbourne International Film Festival
Réka Bucsi’s 2013 diploma film won the best animation award at this year’s Melbourne International Film Festival, Australia’s leading international film festival and is thus the second MOME Anim work that has become eligible for the 2015 Oscars. As earlier, Péter Vácz with his festival favourite animated short titled Rabbit and Deer has already achieved that.
Symphony no. 42’s producer is József Fülöp, the rector of MOME and former leader of the Animation department, its editor is Judit Czakó, while the film’s outstanding sound design was created by Péter Benjámin Lukács. Réka Bucsi graduated from MOME Anim in 2013 and presently works in Viborg, Denmark with the scholarship of The Animation Workshop.
